Amtrekker
Hey Team,
I’m an unemployed vagrant. All I have is a backpack full of technology, a shoestring budget and a very important list. When everything is crossed off my list I get to go home! Let me know if you want to trade one of those shoestrings for help. brett@amtrekker.com

Party People:

Hey Team,

I realize this is a terrible way to do this but I couldn’t figure out a simpler way to display these videos using the video player plugin my site is running on. SO sorry that the load times are going to SUCK for this page. I hope you enjoy the videos anyway!

This first one if from Alessia in Boston. She’s an Italian native (you may or may not be able to pick up on that in the video) and all around cool girl. I’ve never met her brother…he seems quiet.

The Totally Rad Show guys were a pretty important part of this adventure. Dan, the dude on the left, is the one that talked me into doing a video podcast in the first place. Otherwise most of you never would have even known I was traveling. Steve, in the back, is my go to guy whenever I hit a wall with my own meager FinalCut abilities and they were all the first folks to spread the word on this epic adventure. All great guys!

This classy guy has been a supporter since way back not just via donations but also plenty of moral support!

I stayed with Amy for one or two nights in Atlanta where she insisted I go on a run with her despite my soaking wet soccer shorts from the previous night’s hashing adventure. The solution? Borrowing a pair of her shorts and spreading the legend of my sexy legs all over the ATL. Also…painful chaffing ensued.

Andy was not only a fantastic host but also my camera man for not one but TWO podcasts. The most notable of which is the MTV inspired “#3 Sleep in a Lighthouse!” He, his whole family and all of his employees were phenomenal (especially Amber) and let it be known that Andy Miller and Papano’s Pizza is the official Pizza supplier of Amtrekker.com!

Brian Brushwood is a bar conman extraordinaire as proven weekly on his show Scam School but more importantly he’s a great guy to have on your side and a good friend. Last time I saw him I was up until five in the morning laughing hysterically while mixing drinks in his kitchen and watching reruns of South Park much to the detriment of his wife’s sleeping schedule. Sorry, Bonnie!

“Casually Drowned” is the lady that saved my life one night when I was stuck in the Denver airport. She’s awesome! I’ll let her tell the story…

Christopher is a fantastic supporter and little brother to one of my all time best friends!

You’ll all recognize Dave. He’s definitely a man that needs no introduction. Can’t wait to see him again! www.atlanticyachting.org

I’ve never even met Jen but she’s done some amazing things behind the scenes and without her I never would have had any of my great Northern Michigan experiences!

Justin was right there by my side when I found out I was going to be on Good Morning America! Almost as exciting…I also got to share in his and his wife’s first experiences with New York City!

Coolest girl I met on this trip. Period. (And the only one that could make me change my mind about Raleigh, NC.)

Without Nickola I never would have had no less than THREE of the most memorable adventures from the trip! And only one of those was actually on the list. I would drop everything to hang out with her anytime.

Carolyn and Wild Water Rafting really went above and beyond to show me what a kayaking adventure could be. I’ll never forget her and everything she did for me…and I may just take her up on that offer…

Teri is a sweet lady that was one of the lucky few to watch me crash not one but TWO ostriches live and in person. It was great to have the opportunity to meet her and the situation under which it happened only served to underscore how strange my life has become.

Okay…I guess I’m done for the day.

Brett.

Just for the record. Bookingbuddy really is a pretty rad website if you’re looking to plan a trip. It actually allows you to search most of the top websites from one location. Pretty handy! But more importantly…our new affiliation with bookingbuddy.com means all you have to do to help out Amtrekker is click on one of their ads and sign up for an awesome newsletter filled with travel deals! Thanks everyone!

Thanks!
