First, I was trying to decide the best way to get this story to you, figuring that after the exposure on GMA your inbox would be flooded, your wall on facebook would be going a mile a minute, and you were probably doing 50-million things -- so I didn't want to bug you with a text or phone call. But I figured over here at amtrekker, even if you yourself were so busy that you were sleep deprived for the next two weeks, your dearest fans, friends, and fam could at least be amused by this. As you know, I don't really watch TV, and I'm the best worst fan ever, so I never check the site, so I didn't know you were on GMA until this morning when I got an email from my best friend in Oregon, who I just talked to last weekend for the first time in AGES and of course had to give a big long life update to, including misadventures at Halloween and the Crayola Factory field trip. She sent me an email with the following: Okay, two things: I started The Golden Compass last night, I read three chapters, and already I'm diggin' it. I turned on the tv this morning, and who do I see on Good Morning America but some guy named Brett talking about his list! Pretty funny! C I clapped my hands in glee. Just wanted to let you know that your fame has spread so far now that I don't have to get an update from any of the numerous sites when something massively uber-cool happens, word-of-mouth gets to me first.
